Reed Exhibitions announced that given the current pandemic situation worldwide, all of its Sino portfolio shows are going to be rescheduled to July 22-24, 2020. In addition, the organizer will launch a wide range of interactive online activities such as Live Matchmaking, Country Events, virtual Open House as well as Guided Tours from the fair ground in order to involve all the visitors who are unable to attend the show in person.
Online Matchmaking
Given the current situation, all Sino shows have turned its star program TAP online, where visitors who are unable to attend the show can also meet-face-to-face virtually with exhibitors and find potential suppliers.
The Targeted Attendee Program (TAP), initiated in 2015, is Reed’s business matchmaking service tailor-made for international visitors to find right partners and solutions based on their preference and needs. As an indispensable part of the show, the TAP Program has made a great contribution in promoting cross-border partnership and creating high transaction amounts.
Reed will arrange online matchmaking meetings for overseas visitors who have clear intentions of procurement but cannot attend the exhibition in person. Through convenient software solutions such as Microsoft Teams, ZOOM, WeChat and WhatsApp, visitors can communicate with on-site exhibitors to achieve their overall purchasing target. The Online TAP Program will be carried out in three forms, i.e., one-on-one meetings, one-to-many meetings and group-to-group meetings.
For overseas buyers with clear procurement needs, a live stream studio will be set up for them where one buyer can directly communicate with one supplier privately.
For overseas buyers who expect to purchase different equipment and consumables, a live stream studio will be set up where one buyer can interact with several exhibitors and take turns to communicate with each of them.
Live studios for group purchasing of specific products will also be set up where buyer groups can meet with exhibitors groups. If buyers have any purchasing needs during the meeting, Reed will arrange one-on-one communication as further step.
Reed’s TAP team consists of 10 TAP executives and 20 Call Center professionals. All of them will strongly contribute to the Online Matchmaking. So far, more than 300 overseas visitors have registered to participate in this year’s Online TAP Program. India, Malaysia and Pakistan rank top three in terms of actual procurement needs, respectively 24%, 21% and 20%. Besides, visitors from Bangladesh, Egypt, Thailand, Costa Rica, Brazil, Kuwait, Hong Kong (China), Taiwan (China) and other countries and regions have also expressed their procurement intentions. They have showed interests in sectors including corrugated production lines, gluers, die-cutters, laminators, indenters, coaters, digital printers, large format offset printers, unit-flexo printers and glue systems. It is expected to see over 2,000 sessions of online matchmaking, which will involve more than 500 suppliers in total.
Online Country Days
Country Day, the popular event alongside all Sino shows, will be held online this year! There will be India and other countries from South East Asia involved.
During the 3-day-exhibition, Reed will engage with local overseas industry associations, where the paper packaging industry sees a rapid growth. Participants will gather virtually where they can meet face-to-face with exhibitors in order to get a 360-degree view of the exhibition site through a specific live stream on Facebook & YouTube. These activities are an innovative way for them to take a close look at developments currently ongoing within the industry community.
Online Guided Tours
Correspondingly, Guided Tours, Reed’s another special program, will go online for overseas visitors to take a closer look at exhibitors and exhibits and search for potential partners.
According to the actual needs of visitors, Reed designs a number of tour routes at the exhibition site, which will include corrugated cardboard production lines, digital printing machinery and equipment, pre-printing, carton gluing, die-cutting, hot stamping, laminating, boutique gift box manufacturing, intelligent intralogistics plant solutions, raw paper procurement, innovative flexible packaging, sustainable packaging container and automated packaging equipment routes. Each route will be open for registration to visitors from both home and abroad.
Online Open House
Open House has been the routine practice for Sino shows, which is popular among visitors. In 2020, Reed is going to launch Online Open House for overseas viewers in order to get a glimpse into the factories without taking a single step.
During the exhibition, Reed’s staff members will go to the selected factories for onsite recording. The whole process will be live-streamed, which then can be watched online as well as on the large screen within the entrance hall of the exhibition.
Under the guidance of Reed, visitors can follow the footsteps to learn more about processing equipment, accessory parts, raw materials and consumables, technological process and turnkey solutions of the paper packaging industry in the Chinese market.
Online visitors can choose one or more suitable routes to “go around” the site according based on their own preference. When the tour guide stops in front of a booth, the exhibitor will give a brief introduction to their products. In addition he will be available for a short Q&A session if visitors want to get further information.
“365+3” Virtual Expo
To meet every need of visitors who are unable to arrive on site, Reed is going to launch the so called “365+3” Virtual Expo, a brand new one-stop platform running the whole year in addition to the 3-day show. It integrates multiple features including exhibition information, exhibitor listings, exhibits directory, guided maps, on-site events, live streaming, online matchmaking and information about online product releases.
New products and technologies released on the platform will be all-round displayed through live streaming, video and 3D models. This is an omini-channel for visitors to get first-hand information, get up-to-date on latest technologies and to find potential partners.
Reed Packaging Business School
The Packaging Business School is an online live program developed by Reed’s Sino shows for knowledge sharing, best practice exchanges and brainstorming. It covers six sectors including cardboard packaging, folding carton packaging, flexible packaging, container packaging as well as paper and intralogistics.
Since its debut on February 28, 2020, a total of 22 webinars covering the whole packaging industry chain have been streamed, which involved more than 7,000 professionals with more than 20,000 views. Reed will launch the first offline alumni meeting during the exhibition to bring together different minds and allow packaging professionals to walk from the virtual world into the real environment. The meeting provides a platform for participants to meet and mingle with each other in a casual format. There will be also a themed panel alongside the activity.
