The Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) is jointly invested and built by Shanghai Lujiazui Exhibition Development Co., Ltd. and Deutsche Messee International GmbH (whose members include Hannover Messe GmbH / Düsseldorf Messe GmbH / Munich International Exhibition Center GmbH). As a Sino-German joint venture exhibition center, Shanghai New International Expo Center has been built into an influential large-scale exhibition center in China.

SNIEC has 17 single-storey column-free exhibition halls with an indoor exhibition area of 200,000 square meters and an outdoor exhibition area of 100,000 square meters. Since its opening in 2001, SNIEC has achieved steady growth, holding more than 100 well-known exhibitions every year, attracting more than 700,000 domestic and foreign merchants.
