The WCA is back!

As a pioneer award in the global corrugated packaging industry and a classic international event in China SinoCorrugated, the World Corrugated Award(WCA) has always adhered its purpose that creates an "Oscar" in this industry since its first held in 2019. Over the past four years, the WCA has been recognized and supported by colleagues in the corrugated packaging industry around the world. This year, the WCA is back with new awards!

The 2023 WCA will set up 3 Innovation Category awards, 3 Corporate Management Category awards and 2 Social Value Category awards, select the most pioneer industry cases from 8 different aspects, and recognize packaging companies, teams and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the development in the global corrugated industry.

From December 12, 2022, the 2023 WCA will officially open the registration channel, each case can participate in 1 to 3 awards, and the number of nominations for each company or individual is not limited.

With the innovation in the transportation and sales methods, the design of carton and paper case is becoming more and more diverse. A large number of outstanding cases of carton-type design has mushroomed in the carton industry, behind which lies the professional wisdom and hard work of many packaging design engineers. In order to encourage designers throughout the carton packaging industry to continue to present better ideas in the carton structure innovation, the committee of the World Corrugated Awards has set up this award to reward enterprises, teams or individuals who have made outstanding contributions in paper and carton industries.

Innovation Application of the Year

Packaging, as an important tool for product circulation in the market, is indispensable part for enterprises to improve sales performance. In recent years, with the change of global consumers' purchasing habits and usage habits and the emphasis on product addition, the current packaging itself not only plays a protective role for goods, but also plays the function of transportation of goods and anti-counterfeiting traceability. Risk Management of the Year

The risks of the operation of carton factories, whether the natural environmental disaster or the potential hazard caused by man, cannot be avoided by any enterprises. In recent years, the most common accidents that have been heard in carton factories and even throughout the packaging industry are fires in factories. Once an accident occurs, how to effectively reduce property losses and casualties, and how to respond to various problems in an orderly manner is a great challenge for the management team of enterprises. The Best Risk Management and Control Award is established to honor the management teams that fully demonstrate their coping capacity in an incident, or the leading teams who have built a sound and resilient risk management strategy for risk prevention of enterprises.

The current increase in demand for equipment in carton factories has largely stimulated technological upgrades in corrugated equipment. Well-made, highly automated, low-energy automated equipment will create more value for carton factories while saving more time. The Global Corrugated Awards organising committee has established this award to recognise companies that have developed or used intelligent production equipment that has brought benefits and convenience to corrugated box plants.

With the rapid development of e-commerce packaging, the market demand for carton packaging is also changing. In order to meet the demand for cartons in the e-commerce era, more and more carton factories are no longer stuck in the traditional business model, but are trying to meet the changing needs of end customers as much as possible. More personalized and intelligent e-commerce packaging solutions, more diverse functional applications and so on are set to inject fresh blood into the corrugated industry as a whole. To encourage the entire corrugated packaging industry to look positively at business transformation, the organizing committee of the Global Corrugated Awards has established this award to recognize outstanding corrugated packaging companies that have successfully upgraded and transformed their businesses.

The Global Corrugated Awards organizing committee has created this award to recognize five outstanding individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the industry this year, in order to inspire all those working in the industry to continue to improve their personal skills and contribute to the progress of the industry in their respective fields.
