The ACCA’s 20th Annual General Meeting, the 3rd Management Committee Meeting was convened in Pan Pacific Singapore on August 27, 2016. Heads of nearly 50 associations from Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia and other countries or regions have attended. At the meeting, they discussed the GDP growth and development trend of their own countries or regions, confronted problems and challenges of corrugated industry, exchanged management experiences, and formulated the work plan of ACCA in 2017.

Reed Exhibitions was invited to attend this Annual General Meeting and Management Committee Meeting, and Mr. Thomas Huang, the Senior Vice President of Reed Exhibitions, made an speech regarding features of SinoCorrugated 2017, that will be held in Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC) in April 2017. In addition, he also introduced the upcoming SinoFoldingCarton 2017 and China Packaging Container Expo 2017 which would be held with SinoCorrugated 2017 simultaneously.

Three Expos would together be launched during April 11-14, 2017, covering all up steams and down streams of the whole industry. The exhibition area would be up to 110,000 square meters. More than 65,000 domestic and overseas buyers from over 110 countries, including 8,000 overseas buyers with high purchasing power, would personally visit the Expo. Meanwhile, more than 1,100 well-known international exhibitors and consumables brands would gather together to display more than 1,800 highly cost-effective equipment and thousand kinds of consumables. Moreover, over 200 domestic and international industrial associations and media showed their support to the Expo. The audience would witness the live demonstration of the equipment at the Expo.

Moreover, to ensure the visiting experience of overseas visitors, Reed Exhibitions would unite global associations to organize a variety of meaningful activities, including summit forums, enterprises’ training sessions, high-end social activities and various factory tours, such as Global Corrugated Development Trend Conference, Global Corrugated Industry Agent Conference, TAPPI (Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry) Summit Forum, India Day, South America Day, Middle East Day, Iran Day, and Latin America Salon, so as to provide a platform for technical exchange meeting and trade promotion for overseas visitors who have multiple visiting needs.

The keynote speech of Mr. Thomas Huang won warm responses of participating members. Corrugated Associations of Southeast Asia were highly enthusiastic about this and expressed their willingness to participate in SinoCorrugated 2017. They have actively consulted with the representatives of Reed Exhibitions regarding current progress of the three expos. Among which Chairmen of Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Malaysia Corrugated Associations affirmed their participation in SinoCorrugated 2017 right away, and were willing to promote SinoCorrugated 2017 to their internal members who shall form visiting groups to the expos.

Mr. Thomas Huang, the Senior Vice President of Reed Exhibitions, had a meeting with Kinardo Ang, the Chairman of ACCA, who indicated that the next ACCA (Asian Corrugated Case Association) Annual General Conference and Management Committee Meeting would be held with SinoCorrugated 2017, SinoFoldingCarton 2017 and China Packaging Container Expo 2017 at the same time. They have listed it into the major work plan of ACCA in 2017, regarding to which, Chairman Kinardo Ang hand mentioned: “In the past 16 years of SinoCorrugated, we were warmly welcomed by Reed Exhibitions, and each year’s SinoCorrugated had its own highlights and was all extremely impressive”. He also added that “…SinoCorrugated is a valuable platform that brings together the entire industry”.

SinoCorrugated 2017, exploring the effective management strategies in the competitive market

At the Welcome Gala Dinner, Reed Exhibitions provided 400 guests with packaging bags, exquisite gifts and the brochure of SinoCorrugated 2017, SinoFoldingCarton 2017 and China Packaging Container Expo 2017. Mr. Thomas Huang had a discussion with leaders of ACCA sub-associations covering the industry trend, challenges, and the demand for equipment and consumables this year. Furthermore, they exchanged ideas of the 2016 market performance, and discussed strategies to promote the development of Asian corrugated industry. In the face of the rising price of upstream base paper and the sustained competition of downstream terminal market, how the carton packaging industry can gain profits, and even improve itself in such a competitive market environment. Meanwhile, they sought for the core competitiveness, and the way to improve the productivity of enterprises, while reducing cost expenditure and pursuing the effective management practices. SinoCorrugated 2017 would provide such a platform, hold multiple training sessions, and organize participants to make active discussion on the above problems and new trends. SinoCorrugated 2017 would also organize the TAPPI (Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry) Forum, and get the management team of TAPPI to conduct a report in theme of “exploring management tactics suitable for their respective markets” at the forum, which will be later distributed to Forum attendees.
